RF Testing

Envirotect can offer a range of independent testing services.

RF Attenuation Test

Envirotect can perform RF attenuation tests on RF cages using highly sophisticated test equipment, consisting of a Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyser and a pair Di-pole Antennae.  The procedure can also cover ground isolation testing of the cage.  Results will be recorded accordingly and a test report will be issued.

EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) Test

Imaging diagnostic equipment such as MRI & CT Scanners are sensitive and can be disturbed by environmental electromagnetic interferences.

An EMI Test evaluates the level and source of electromagnetic interference generated by a number of sources including moving vehicles, trains, elevators, power lines, transformers which may affect the performance of the imaging diagnostic equipment.

The test involves placing a magnetometer at the exact position of the isocenter of the proposed MRI Scanner and measuring over a period of time the AC fluctuations and DC disturbances in X, Y & Z axis.

Information is recorded by the data acquisition unit and will indicate whether the proposed siting of the scanner is within the specification of the MRI/CT Scanner manufacturer.

Vibration Survey

Imaging diagnostic equipment is very sensitive to environmental vibration.  Structural vibrations can be generated by a number of sources including motors, pumps, elevators and moving vehicles.

The survey is performed to measure steady state and transient vibration using a PCB Piezotronic Seismic Accelerometer positioned either at the proposed isocenter of the imaging diagnostic unit or a position dictated by the customer.  The data acquired and recorded on the data acquisition unit over a period of time will indicate whether the proposed position of the imaging diagnostic unit is within the specification of the MRI/CT Scanner manufacturer.
