Major Contract Secured

Envirotect have secured the shielding work for the new PET scanning suite currently being constructed at St. James’ Hospital in Leeds.

Back in 2007 Envirotect installed the radiation shielding for the brachytherapy departments and shielded bedrooms at the new St. James Oncology Wing.

This week Envirotect started work on the PET scanner suite which was shelved when the original building was constructed.

The project comprises of plate and chevron shielding to the two scanner rooms, injection rooms and ancillary areas.

The project also includes the manufacture and installation of the lead lined door sets and two 8mm lead equivalent windows.
